Sometimes there's talk of lightness and colorful playfulness. The fact is, beneath many layers of paint, truths are buried. The original painting would reveal too much about me. The last two original pieces each spent 10 years in a cellar, maturing there and being brought out of their graves at the right time. I decide what may shine through – and how – and what may not. For years, she stood as the ruler of a parallel world, albeit in the background. This parallel world, which threatened to penetrate our world through rifts in reality, was the subject of my work for years - the so-called Rift World Chronicles. This canvas, originally painted with the first portrait of Princess Tooth Fairy, turned 20 years old this year. While the painting was very valuable to me, I never really liked it. So it was high time to paint over it. For the past 10 years, the painting has been in a basement. The frame is slightly arched, the patina of the canvas has changed accordingly, which can still be seen in some places.
