MY LIFE IN RUINS
Painting is the essence of my life. This essence, I choose to unveil within the decaying grandeur of an industrial ruin in Obernberg am Inn.
The ruin itself resonates deeply with me, serving as a powerful metaphor for life. Entering it is no simple task—you must navigate carefully, willing to get your hands dirty, always mindful of the lurking pitfalls. The building bears the scars of excess: the lingering scent of alcohol, the remnants of cigarette smoke, and the traces of other substances, all etched into its walls.
In this space, as in life, you're enveloped by the voices and thoughts of strangers. Some are articulated with a masterful touch, others scrawled in haste, but each one leaves an indelible mark on the mind.
For this exhibition, I have carefully curated a selection of works from the past 20 years that hold deep personal significance. I have placed them alongside objects that have shaped me, creating a dialogue between my art and the influences that have left their imprint on my journey.
Unfortunately, the opening event was shut down by the police before the first guests could arrive.
